Discogs
The Discogs integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] allows you to see the current amount of records in your Discogs collection.
Prerequisites
You need a personal access token from your Discogs account. You can generate one from your profile’s Developer settings.
Configuration
To add the Discogs service to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:
If the above My button doesn’t work, you can also perform the following steps manually:

Browse to your Home Assistant instance.

In the bottom right corner, select the
Add Integration button. -
From the list, select Discogs.

Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
Sensors
This integration creates the following sensors:
- Collection: The number of records in your collection.
- Wantlist: The number of records in your wantlist.
- Random record: A randomly selected record from your collection, including details such as artist, title, label, catalog number, format, cover image, and release year. A new record is picked on each update.
Every sensor exposes your Discogs username as the identity state attribute.
Data updates
The Discogs integration pollsData polling is the process of querying a device or service at regular intervals to check for updates or retrieve data. By defining a custom polling interval, you can control how frequently your system checks for new data, which can help optimize performance and reduce unnecessary network traffic. YAML configuration
Configuring Discogs through YAML is deprecated. If you have an existing discogs entry in your configuration.yamlThe configuration.yaml file is the main configuration file for Home Assistant. It lists the integrations to be loaded and their specific configurations. In some cases, the configuration needs to be edited manually directly in the configuration.yaml file. Most integrations can be configured in the UI. [Learn more] file, Home Assistant imports it into a config entry automatically, using its token and name values. monitored_conditions isn’t used during import, and the import always creates all three sensors listed above. The name value becomes the title of the imported config entry rather than an entity name prefix. YAML support for this integration is removed in a future Home Assistant release, so after the import, remove the discogs block from your configuration.yaml file.
Removing the integration
This integration follows standard integration removal. No extra steps are required.
To remove an integration instance from Home Assistant
- Go to Settings > Devices & services and select the integration card.
- From the list of devices, select the integration instance you want to remove.
- Next to the entry, select the three dots
menu. Then, select Delete.
