The Actiontec integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] allows you to detect presence by looking at devices connected to an Actiontec device.

This device tracker needs telnet to be enabled on the router.

To use this device tracker in your installation, add the following to your configuration.yamlThe configuration.yaml file is the main configuration file for Home Assistant. The integration is now shown on the integrations page under Settings > Devices & services. Its entities are listed on the integration card itself and on the Entities tab.

Configuration Variables

host string Required

The IP address of your router, e.g., 192.168.1.1.

username string Required

The username of a user with administrative privileges, usually admin.

password string Required

The password for your given admin account.
