ThingSpeak

The thingspeak integrations makes Home Assistant communicate with the ThingSpeak API. For now, it records exactly one entity at once, which is great for testing purposes. For long-time storage you should rely on the InfluxDB integration.

Configuration

You will have to create a new channel on ThingSpeak and grab your Write API Key from the “API Keys” tab of the channel you want to use.

To setup the ThingSpeak integration in your installation, add the following to your configuration.yamlThe configuration.yaml file is the main configuration file for Home Assistant. It lists the integrations to be loaded and their specific configurations. In some cases, the configuration needs to be edited manually directly in the configuration.yaml file. Configuration Variables

api_key string Required

Your ThingSpeak Channel Write API key.

id integer Required

The ID of your desired ThingSpeak channel.

whitelist string Required

The name of the entity whose states should be sent to the channel.
